About Newfield Township
The township of Newfield is located in east-central Oceana County. The county is situated along the eastern shore of Lake Michigan approximately halfway between Traverse City, Michigan and the Michigan/Indiana border.
The history of Newfield Township is closely connected to Hesperia, White River, and Michigan’s Lumber Era.
Besides the Hesperia Dam, which provides the Hesperia area with quality sport fishing, there are several popular lakes within the township.
