Notice is hereby given that the Newfield Township Board will meet on Tuesday April 28th, 2026 at 7:00pm at the Newfield Township Hall located at 3890 S 198th Ave, Hesperia, MI 49421.

This differs from the normal scheduled date of April 21, 2026 due to multiple scheduling conflicts.

The Newfield Township Planning Commission will next meet Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 6:30pm at the Newfield Township Hall.

A Public Hearing will be held on a proposed Special Use/Cell Tower Permit application requested by The Towers LLC for property at E Gale Road, Hesperia MI (Parcel Number 014-003-400-06). The Special Use/Cell Tower Permit is to allow the construction of a 250-foot cell towner in an A-1 Zoning District. This Property is zoned for agricultural activities.

This will be the only opportunity for public input on this application. Written responses will be read, however they must be received at the Newfield Township Hall 3890 S 180th Ave (PO Box 564) Hesperia, MI 49421 by Friday March 6, 2026 to be considered.

The Newfield Township Board of Review will meet for its March session on the following dates:

Monday March 9, 2026: 9am-3pm

Wednesday March 11, 2026: 3pm-9pm

The Newfield Township Offices will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2026 in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Holiday. The Treasurer will be in the office on Tuesday January 20 for the collection of property taxes. You can always make an appointment with any Township Official if you have an urgent need.

The Newfield Township Board meetings will be held on the Third Tuesday of every month at 7:00pm

The Newfield Township Planning Commission meetings will be held on the Second Tuesday of the following months: January, March, May, June, September, and November at 7:00pm.

The Board of Review will convene to correct qualified errors, clerical errors, and mutual mistakes of facts.

The Newfield Township Hall will be closed on Monday, October 13, 2025 in observance of Columbus Day and Indigenous People’s Day.

Office Hours have been rescheduled for Tuesday, October 14, 2025 from 9am to 4pm.

The Newfield Township Planning Commission meeting scheduled for Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 7:00pm will be rescheduled for Thursday, October 9, 2025 at 7:00pm.

 

The Newfield Township Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing Tuesday October 14th, 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Newfield Township Hall Located at 3890 S 198th Ave. Hesperia, Mi. 49421.

The Purpose of the Public Hearing will be to review the Marihuana Processing Application by RQMI LLC for a location at 2514 S. 186th Ave. Hesperia, Mi. They currently have a licensed grow facility at that location and previously held a processing permit. They seek to reinstate that permit.

Written comments that are wished to be read into the public record must received by the Township by no later than 5:00 PM Monday October 13th, 2025. The Township Hall is located at 3890 S. 198th Ave. Hesperia, Mi. The mailing address is P.O. Box 564 Hesperia, Mi. 49421.
