Calling All Creative Minds in Newfield Township!

We’re designing a Township Flag, and we want YOUR ideas to help represent the spirit of Newfield!

What image, symbol, or scene best captures our community’s heart?

Is it the winding river, a proud oak, the silhouette of our barn roofs at sunset, or something entirely unique to you?

Submit your drawings, sketches, or written ideas-whatever inspires you!

Whether you’re an artist or simply someone with hometown pride, your voice matters.

Drop off your creations at Newfield Township Hall or email to supervisor@newfieldtownship.org.

Let’s create something that celebrates who we are together!

The Newfield Township Hall will be closed on Monday, May 26, 2025 in observance of Memorial Day. Anyone needing services from Township Officials are encouraged to call or email the official for assistance. Contact information can be found both on this site, and at the Hall.

Remember to take time to honor the men and women of our Armed Forces who gave the ultimate sacrifice to protect and uphold Freedom and Liberty both at home and abroad.

The Newfield Township Planning Commission is happy to announce that the Spring Clean-Up Day is scheduled for Saturday, May 31, 2025 beginning at 9:00am and going until the dumpsters are full, or 1:00pm, whichever comes first.

This is a service for Newfield Township Property Owners to bring their refuse and scrap metal for disposal. This is a FREE service to Newfield Township property owners and residents, but donations are accepted to help defray costs, if desired. We are also looking for volunteers to help residents get their trash in the dumpsters. Contact the hall at (231) 854-4702 to let us know if you want to volunteer.

The following items are NOT PERMITTED at clean-up day, per our waste handler: Tires, Batteries, Televisions, Hazardous Waste (Oil Based Paints, fuels, thinners, flammable liquids, etc). These items can be taken to the County Household Hazardous Waste Day in August. Scrap metal is welcome at this event. Please keep scrap separate from other trash. Recyclable items can be placed in the proper receptacles at the Township Recycle Center!

Warning: The Event begins at 9:00am and ends by 1:00pm. NO EARLY OR LATE DUMPING!! The dumpster area is under video surveillance. Theft of scrap metal from the pile will be prosecuted.
