Public Access to Meetings Online (Streaming) – Update

The Planning Commission would like to apologize to any residents that intended to view the April Planning Commission meeting via Zoom. Even after repeated attempts, technical difficulties made it impossible for us to stream the event.

We will be testing out YouTube’s Live Stream capabilities for tonight’s board meeting. If everything is successful, you should be able to click on this link to view tonight’s Board Meeting via YouTube Live Stream. It will also be available for replay after the board meeting has ended.

Public Accuracy Test for May Election

To the qualified electors of Newfield Township, Oceana County, State of Michigan:

Notice is hereby given that a Public Accuracy Test for the electronic equipment that will be used in Precinct 1 for the May 3, 2022, Recall Election is scheduled for Tuesday, April 26th, 2022
at 10:00 a.m. located at the Newfield Township Hall. The Public Accuracy Test is conducted to demonstrate that the computer programming used to tabulate the votes cast at the election meets the requirements of Michigan election law.

Election Commission Meeting

There will be an Election Commission meeting to appoint Election Inspectors held March 15th, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. at the Hesperia High School Cafeteria.

Naomi Oomen will be the Clerk handling the Newfield Township Election for May 3, 2022. Naomi is the Leavitt Township Clerk and has agreed to handle this election to eliminate bias at the upcoming election.

March Board Meeting – CHANGE OF LOCATION

NOTICE: The Board Meeting on March 15th, 2022 will be held at the Hesperia High School Cafeteria at 7:00 p.m.

There will also be an Election Commission Meeting at 6:30 p.m. to appoint election inspectors for the May 3, 2022 election as well as a Public Hearing for the 2022-2023 Budget beginning at 6:45 p.m.
